Howdy Smithville and welcome to your Smithville Texas News Weekend Guide!
Tonight Mutt’s Last Stand and Smithville Brewing Company kick off the weekend with Open Mic Night and Trivia Night, leading us into a fun weekend of live music and sweet treats!
We couldn’t find any events or live music for Friday, but we are sure we are missing something. Do you have an event on Friday? Email us at howdy@smithvilletexasnews.com and we will add it!

6:30pm: Smithville Brewing Company: Trivia Night hosted by Ashley!
7-9pm: Mutt’s Last Stand: Open Mic Night! Got a song, a joke, or a story? Grab a brew and the mic! The stage is yours. Sign up in person or by phone as early as noon every Thursday.

5-7pm: High School/Junior High School Parking Lot: Trunk or Treat: Join us for a magical evening of character reveals from the Smitty the Sweet Giant™ & Friends Explore Smithville, and get a FREE family photo with Tin Man, the MKT Train, and our NEW character Tiger! 🚨LOCATION CHANGE!🚨 7-8pm: First United Methodist Church, Family Hall: Candle Light Vigil to celebrate the life of Jimmie Lee Jones.
No open flames and no food or drinks allowed in the church. Electronic candles will be provided (but if you have some, please bring). Dawn Gihr Sears will play songs on her flute
8:30pm: Mutt’s Last Stand: Comedy Showcase: Free 21+ uncensored comedy show featuring 4-6 comedians each show. More info

10a-1p: Railroad Park: Smithville Farmers Market
4-6pm: Smithville Brewing Company: live music by Sarah Price
